What began as a bold vision in the heart of Downtown San Jose has officially become an award-winning reality.

Last week, the 200 Park Project was honored with a Merit Award at the American Council of Engineering Companies of California Engineering Excellence Awards, recognizing the innovation, technical achievement, and collaboration behind one of San Jose’s most transformative developments.

Rising 19 stories above the city, 200 Park reshaped both the skyline and the streets below. The project reimagined a vehicle-heavy boulevard into a vibrant, pedestrian-first garden street, creating a more welcoming and human-scaled urban experience while maintaining the functionality of a dense downtown corridor.

Behind the scenes, the work was anything but simple. The site required some of the most complex utility coordination in San Jose’s urban core, demanding precision planning, phased execution, and constant collaboration across disciplines. From underground infrastructure to above-grade design, every element was carefully orchestrated to support a future-ready development.

Through innovation, attention to detail, and true teamwork, the project team delivered a landmark that sets a new standard for urban design, sustainability, and execution in the region.
