The best way to understand how a team delivers is to see how they show up together. K+W and its energy affiliate, KWRE, debuted their new Austin office by opening the doors to clients, partners, and industry peers for a firsthand look at the team, leadership, and approach behind their growing presence in Texas.

With great food, drinks, and a few competitive rounds of cornhole, the setting felt relaxed but intentional, creating space for natural connection, whether reconnecting with familiar faces or meeting the team for the first time.

What stood out was the mix of people in the room. Leadership, project teams, and clients were all part of the same discussions, giving attendees a clear sense of who they would be working with and how projects come together.

"We launched our Austin office with the goal of expanding our footprint, and the results have been strong," said Chuck McCallum, PE, Chief Executive Officer of K+W and Co-Founder of KWRE. "What we wanted attendees to experience was our culture and the investment we've made in building it."

As conversations turned to the work ahead, the need for early alignment stood out, particularly in a Texas market where timing and coordination can define project success, aligning with how K+W and KWRE approach every project.

"Bringing people together in Austin reflects how closely energy and infrastructure are now connected," said Priyantha Sirisooriya, PE, Co-Founder of KWRE and Head of Electrical Engineering. "Projects are moving faster, expectations are higher, and success depends on how well teams align early."

"Events like this strengthen relationships because they create space for direct, meaningful engagement beyond the project itself," said Emad Sarieddine, PE, Chief Operating Officer of K+W. "Our industry moves on trust, and trust is built through consistent collaboration, transparency, and connection."

Between the conversations, competition, and connections made throughout the evening, the Austin Open House reflected K+W and KWRE’s collaborative and people-focused approach to working with clients and partners across Texas.
