Avaya Stadium

Avaya Stadium, the official home of the San Jose Earthquakes, is an 18,000-seat MLS soccer stadium on 18 acres of land in San Jose.

Kier + Wright provided design and survey services for the planning and construction of the stadium. Services provided include mapping, preparation of demolition plans, utility design, grading and drainage design, C.3 stormwater design, hydraulic modeling and analysis, earthwork analysis, construction staking, and the preparation of plans for the construction of a new street, Earthquakes Way.

The demanding schedule of this project, coupled with the site’s location on land previously used to manufacture and test tanks for the military, presented unique project challenges. Kier + Wright provided alternative solutions during the design process to address various site constraints. Throughout construction, Kier + Wright helped keep the project on track for completion before the 2015 soccer season by responding quickly to numerous survey and staking requests.
