Hamilton Park is a “green” community comprised of 47 single-family homes and a city park. Kier + Wright provided civil engineering and land surveying services for the acquisition of planning approvals and for the construction of the homes, the public park and the off-site improvements associated with the development.
The houses were built using sustainably sourced materials. With features such as photovoltaic roofing panels and synthetic lawn, the homes conserve power and water. Hamilton Park’s eco-friendly single-family homes were featured in Sunset Magazine as a part of a green building education program.
Kier + Wright’s scope included planning services, extensive “green” stormwater treatment measures, and improvements needed to remove the project from the FEMA floodplain. Kier + Wright designed a culvert bypass channel that routes flood waters around the development.
