Newark Civic Center
Newark Civic Center
The City of Newark Civic Center stands as one of the city’s most significant civic investments—creating a central home for services, connection, and community pride. The new 84,130-square-foot campus brings together a two-story City Hall, an expanded public library, and a state-of-the-art police station, surrounded by a vibrant plaza designed for public gatherings and cultural events.
K+W supported the project through construction staking and mapping, collaborating with the full project team to ensure precision and alignment from the earliest stages of development through final layout. The team provided detailed staking for underground utilities, new buildings, and site amenities, including decorative concrete flatwork that shapes the pedestrian experience throughout the civic plaza.
Beyond the buildings themselves, the Civic Center represents a long-term investment in Newark’s future—fostering civic engagement, accessibility, and sustainable growth. As a LEED Gold-certified development, it not only modernizes city services but also strengthens the connection between residents and local government, ensuring the heart of Newark continues to serve its people for generations to come.
