Sacred Heart Schools

Kier + Wright has provided civil engineering and land surveying services for several construction projects at Sacred Heart in Atherton, including the Saint Joseph’s Elementary School campus, the Campbell Center for the Performing Arts, Spieker Pavilion, the Science & Student Life Center, the West Fields sports fields project and a sanitary sewer replacement project. Additional services provided during Sacred Heart Schools projects include utility construction inspections, preparation of utility relocation plans, design of campus site fire protection system upgrades and construction staking for various improvements throughout the campus.

Kier + Wright prepared a comprehensive aerial topographic and utility survey of the 61-acre campus. Though construction of the campus began in 1898, the school had never been surveyed prior to Kier + Wright’s work at Sacred Heart. Very little record information regarding the school’s existing utility infrastructure was available. The survey project involved extensive coordination with the school’s facilities department and with an underground utility locating service, ultimately resulting in a detailed, comprehensive record of the campus utility systems.
