Santa Clara University
Since the 1990’s, Kier + Wright has provided civil engineering, land surveying and construction staking services for a variety of projects at Santa Clara University. Civil design projects completed include the Sherman Street parking garage, Sobrato Residential Living Complex, tennis courts, several parking lots, the Jesuit Residential Building, Stephen Schott baseball stadium (shown above), and design of various off-site street improvements.
Kier + Wright’s scope for the Stephen Schott Stadium project included topographic survey, design of off-site improvements, and grading and drainage design for the construction of the Division I ball field, the associated structures and the plaza.
Survey projects completed at Santa Clara University include site-specific boundary surveys for various portions of the campus, location of existing easements and property lines, a lot merger for several parcels as a part of a campus lot consolidation project, and topographic surveys for various campus sites. Most notably, Santa Clara University hired Kier + Wright to complete a topographic and utility survey of the entire university campus. The survey included property line and easement delineation based on documents dating back to the 1800’s. The completed survey totaled 89 sheets and included separate utility map sets for storm drain, sanitary sewer, electrical, gas and communications systems.
