The Club at Castlewood

Located at the heart of the Castlewood Country Club in Pleasanton, this renovation of a 1971-era clubhouse campus provides updated entries, extensive ADA compliant connecting ramps and pathways, new interior spaces, and the design and construction of improvements to the adjacent pool recreation center. The design pays homage to the Hacienda del Pozo de Verona built in the early 1900's by incorporating an open and easily accessible interior plan similar to the original historic building.

The 55,000 sqft main clubhouse provides a modernized interior with new ramps and pathways emphasizing safe pedestrian access to the clubhouse and to the renovated exterior patio. The site design incorporates open spaces and group oriented gathering and meeting areas with improved connections between the main clubhouse and the pool recreation center. Utility infrastructure was updated throughout the site and a site grading and drainage plan was provided along with a storm water control plan.

K+W provided all civil engineering and land surveying services on the project including a topographic survey of the entire site and 3d scanning of the existing structures and site details.
