Geary Marketplace
Geary Marketplace is a 2.8-acre development with 35,000 square feet of retail space in Walnut Creek. The shopping center includes a 25,000-square-foot Sprouts Farmers Market and two additional multi-tenant retail buildings. Kier + Wright provided civil engineering and land surveying services for the planning and construction of the shopping complex and the associated off-site improvements.
Kier + Wright oversaw entitlement submittals for the project and prepared plans for the demolition of the long-abandoned co-op market building that previously occupied the site. Additional scope items provided for the development include mapping, preparation of grading and utility plans, stormwater treatment design, and design of traffic calming improvements on Geary Road.
